The second Indo-American diamond week will be held January 12-15, 2015 at the Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) in New York, the Gem & Jewelery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) advises. The new Indian Diamond Week will be organized with the assistance of DDC after the great success of the first such week held in New York.
Within the framework of the event, which will take place almost four days, Indian cutters and American retail and wholesale diamond sellers will hold a joint display of their products. A solemn banquet will also be organized to allow the participants of the exhibition to have an opportunity to communicate in an informal atmosphere. About 80% of visitors to the event are residents of New York, although there are expected to be a number of buyers from other cities, states and even countries - for example, from Chicago, Los Angeles, Florida, Canada.
India is the largest diamond supplier in the US with a total export volume of $ 6.1 billion between 2013 and 2014.
