Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi met today with leaders of the jewelry sector of the country and associations of manufacturers of similar products in New Delhi to discuss how the jewelry segment to become part of the state campaign "Made in India", the AOJ newspaper reports. A one-day conference was organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
Representatives of the three main jewelry trade organizations in India - the Gem and Jewelery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the Gems and Jewelery Trade Federation (GJF) and the Association of Jewelery gold and jewelers (India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd, IBJA) - were present at this meeting.
In his speech, Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said: "It is not so important whether we promote the Made in India concept among consumers in India itself or abroad." It is important that consumers around the world like to buy products of a higher quality at a lower price. "
The state program "Made in India" is aimed at developing all spheres of production in India, since it serves as the main factor of economic growth in the state.
