The Gem & Jewelery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and the Surat Diamond Association (SDA) organized an exhibition of machinery for the jewelery industry in the Indian city of Surat. The exhibition that was held from November 28 to November 30, 2014 was opened by an honorary guest of the event Nanubhai Vanani, the Minister of Sports, Youth, Education and Water Resources of the Indian State of Gujarat. The opening was also attended by Chandrakant Sanghavi, Regional Director of GJEPC, Dineshbhai Navadiya, SDA President, Nirav Bhansali, authorized coordinator of national exhibitions and DR. Parmar (DR Parmar), the chief administrator of the district commissariat for industry.
This year the number of participants increased, and they represented their products at 140 booths. Eighty-five leading international and Indian companies and thirty new sellers showed visitors the latest technologies and equipment in the jewelry industry. Such leading international brands as Alpress, Eksen, Guvenis, Nokta Model, Pandora, Tarzz Model, and many others presented their most advanced developments for 2015.
