Registration for the annual Congress of the World Jewelery Confederation (CIBJO), which will be held May 4-6, 2015 in El Salvador, Brazil, was officially opened. Salvador is the capital of the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia.
Congress participants can register on the Congress website at http://congress2015.cibjo.org/ .
The site contains detailed information on the congress, including the provisional agenda, information on the venue and organizers, contact information, press section and much more.
The Congress will be held with the support of the Brazilian Institute of Precious Stones and Metals (Instituto Brasileiro de Gemas e Metais Preciosos, IBGM), which works closely with the local jewelry association of the State of Bahia, Progemas (Associação Bahiana dos Produtores e Comerciantes de Gemas e Metais Preciosos).
The venue for the congress will mainly be the Sheraton da Bahia Hotel in Salvador, located next to the historic center, which is on UNESCO's list of international cultural heritage and which contains some historical monuments dating from the 17th and 19th centuries.
The Congress is also the official meeting place of the Assembly of Delegates of the World Jewelery Confederation. The Congress will be attended by members of national jewelry associations from more than 40 countries and representatives of many of the most commercially important sectors of the industry.
For the first time in history, the CIBJO Congress will be held in Latin America.
