Gemological Institute of America (Gemological Institute of America, GIA) will begin to produce updated reports on gems and pearls, as well as make improvements in the procedure for verifying reports. The updated reports will feature improved images of stones, as well as terms that reflect current trends in gemology. In the procedure for checking reports on gems, customers will be provided with a table with the indication of the processing that a particular stone has passed.
The report data will be displayed in a separate table. These innovations will be available for gems that have been tested since February 1, 2015. The image of this or that stone will be available together with the information in the section for checking the reports.
In the report verification section, if this option is available, you will be able to find graphs and charts for those reports on diamonds that were released on January 1, 2014. GIA's reports on gems and pearls now have a portrait orientation. In addition, higher quality images for precious stones and pearls will be maintained. For them, a single standard gemmological report is introduced.
