Chow Tai Fook reported an increase in revenue from sales of 32% in the year-on-year calculation for the holiday season timed to the Chinese New Year, reports Rapaport. These results indicate that the trend continues to increase sales of gold jewelry and jewelery with precious stones, which prevailed in the 4th quarter of 2013.
Chow Tai Fook did not disclose absolute sales figures.
Over the period from January 17 to February 3, the company's revenue from sales in mainland China jumped by 34% on a year-on-year basis, while sales in Hong Kong and Macau increased by 28%.
The growth of holiday sales in comparable stores Chow Tai Fook was 15%, while sales in mainland China increased by 18%, and in Hong Kong and Macao - by 11%.
It is reported that in comparable stores, jewelry sales with precious stones showed an increase of 13%, while sales of gold jewelry jumped by 19%.
