Three US diamond buyers will fly to Israel next month at the expense of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), according to a press release received by Rough & Polished. Three diamantaires from New York won free tickets in the lottery organized by IDE after the Israeli International Diamond Week in November. The organization will pay for the flight of diamantaires to Israel as part of their expenses for participation in the International Diamond Week, which will be held in February this year.
"We held a lottery last month, right before the New Year holidays," said Moti Fluk, head of the organizing committee for the Diamond Week and chief financial officer of IDE. "I'm very glad that all three diamantaires are members of the Diamond Dealers Club of New York ( Diamond Dealers Club of New York, DDC). Over the past few years, the relationship between IDE and DDC has reached a new level and is stronger than ever before. "
Expressing his congratulations to the winners of the lottery, the honorary president of IDE, Shmuel Schnitzer, noted that the winter stage of the International Diamond Week in Israel will begin just before the season of exhibitions in the Asian region. "We are ready to open a series of international exhibitions this year, IDE is offering buyers and traders of precious stones the opportunity to replenish stocks after a busy holiday season. We expect to meet with our colleagues from Belgium and New York, as well as from other parts of the world, at the International Diamond Week in February, "he said.
The World Diamond Week in Israel is organized in close cooperation with the Diamond Dealers Club of New York and the Antwerp Diamond Bourse. Dozens of representatives of both organizations will attend the event in early February.
