The Gemological Science International (GSI), one of the largest private gemmological laboratories in the world, announced the opening of its ninth laboratory in Gaborone, Botswana, according to a press release from the organization received by Rough & Polished.
"Now, after decades of mining without the possibility of processing them, the diamond cutting and diamond trading businesses in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana, have finally appeared, and there is a need for gemological laboratories," said Mark Gershburg, CEO of GSI . This organization has become one of the strongest players in providing gemological services with offices located at strategic points to meet the needs of various markets around the world. In November, the company opened a new office in Surat in India.
"GSI will provide high quality services in its office in Gaborone.The classification of diamonds, the consistency in the definition of stone characteristics, as well as customer focus will meet the world quality standards of the company," added Mark Geschburg.
In addition to the opening of the new laboratory, GSI plans to organize training programs and courses, conduct seminars.
