De Beers will participate in the International Rough Diamond Week (IRDW), which will be held from 9 to 13 March at the premises of the Israeli Diamond Exchange (IDE).
De Beers will be represented by its 100-percent subsidiary Diamdel, which will tender exclusive for its characteristics large diamonds.
Neil Ventura, executive vice president of De Beers auction sales, welcomed the IDE initiative to conduct regular auctions of rough diamonds. To date, about 10% of raw diamonds produced by De Beers are sold at the auction site of the company.
