The year 2013 was very successful for the diamond industry in Antwerp.
As reported by Rough & Polished in the press service of the Antwerp World Diamond Center (AWDC), last year both imports and exports of unpolished diamonds and diamonds increased significantly, demonstrating an increase of more than 8% and 5%, respectively.
The total value of the products sold was $ 55 billion, which is very close to a record high of $ 56.6 billion in 2011.
