As in previous trading sessions, the fair is held in closed mode - the event is accessible only by invitation.
This year, diamond retailers from Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America are participating in the fair.
About 90 diamond companies represent their diverse assortment in Antwerp. This year, they are reserved for the trading floors of the Antwerp Diamond Bourse, the Diamond Club of Antwerp and the Antwerp Diamond Kring.
According to the president of the Beurs voor Diamanthandel, Marcel Pruwer, five years after the debut, the ADTF fair, thanks to an unrivaled range of diamond products, reaffirms Antwerp's position as a priority market for diamond buyers from around the world.
Among the events that will take place during the fair is a show of a pair of diamond boots created by the Belgian design duo AFVandevorst and manufactured by the Antwerp firm Diarough, presented earlier in Hong Kong.
During the fair, two morning seminars are planned. On January 27, diamond marketing expert from Chicago, Aleah Arundale-Siegel, will tell retailers about the marketing of diamonds and jewelry with diamonds. On January 28, the seminar will be hosted by the President of the World Federation of Diamond Exchanges (WFDB) Ernest Blom, he will tell the audience about the World Diamond Mark Foundation (WDMF) initiative to develop a worldwide campaign for specific promotion and marketing of diamonds.
