  1. Research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan predicts that diamond production could fall to 125 million carats in 2015 to only 62 million carats in 2030. In this case, the annual global demand for diamonds will reach by 2030 221 million carats.
According to the company Madestones, the largest producer of diamonds in Europe, synthetic diamonds provide a solution to the problem of the anticipated decrease in the supply of mined diamonds, and is likely to have an impact on the economy of the diamond industry by filling a significant - 13 percent shortage of supply.
In the coming years, taking into account the above and in conjunction with social and environmental responsibility and availability of lab-grown diamonds are expected to become the dominant factor for the jewelry industry, are convinced Madestones.
